The price, release date, and some specs of the Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060 and Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060 Ti have finally been made official, with Nvidia today unveiling its new mid-range graphics cards. The big news is that the GeForce RTX 4060 price is $299, which feels like a breath of fresh air in these times of massively inflated GPU prices.

The lineup includes three new graphics card models, as there are both 8GB and 16GB versions of the RTX 4060 Ti coming out, and you can now see how the former performs in our Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060 Ti review. You can now also see how the $299 card fares in our full Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060 review. The GeForce RTX 4060 Ti 8GB price is $399 (£389), while the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti 16GB price is $499.

The GeForce RTX 4060 series brings the Nvidia Ada architecture, with its third-generation ray tracing cores and generally improved performance, along with RTX 40 exclusive features such as DLSS 3 AI Frame Generation, to a new lower price point. Previously, the cheapest entrant in the RTX 4000 series of cards was the Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070, which starts at $599, while the GeForce RTX 4080 costs nearly double that amount.

“The RTX 4060 family delivers PC gamers both great value and great performance at 1080p, whether they’re building a gaming battle box or an AI-assisted creation station,” stated Matt Wuebbling, vice president of global GeForce marketing at Nvidia. “These GPUs deliver an incredible upgrade, starting at just $299, putting Ada Lovelace and DLSS 3 in the hands of millions more worldwide.”
