Acer to add AMD Radeon RX 7600 to its BiFrost graphics card lineup

Joining its previous Intel Arc-based card, Acer has branched out and added some AMD GPUs to its BiFrost Predator graphics card roster.

It’s looking like Acer is set to launch its first AMD-based graphics cards, following its announcement at Computex 2023 that it would be branching out from its current Intel-only lineup of graphics cards. A new pair of Acer BiFrost Predator Radeon RX 7600 graphics cards are imminent, according to the website Xfastest.

The two new cards will consist of a standard AMD Radeon RX 7600 configuration and an overclocked configuration, with both launching alongside a new Intel Arc A750 card. Prices for each are listed as 8,490TWD (~$275), 8,990TWD (~$290), and 7,990TWD (~$258) respectively.

Up until now, Acer had only offered the Acer BiFrost Predator Arc A770 card (currently being tested in our labs) so an expansion into further mid-range options from a variety of venders makes some sense. Moreover, given that the RX 7600 is currently our top choice for the best budget graphics card, it’s a great choice for Acer to add to its roster.

The new cards appear to use the exact same BiFrost cooler design as the A770 card but with just one 8-pin power supply connection rather than two. This design uses an intriguing combined blower and axial fan combination with the blower pushing hot air out the expansion card slot and the axial fan blowing air through the card in a similar manner to Nvidia’s recent Founders Edition cards, such as the RTX 4060 Ti.

We’ve no word yet on when or if the cards will reach outside of Taiwan but will update this story when we know more.
