Fresh leaks are out concerning the upcoming range of Nvidia RTX 4000 Super graphics cards, with the latest suggesting there will in fact be an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Super alongside an RTX 4070 Super, making for a clunky naming scheme but some potentially tempting GPU upgrades.
The latest Nvidia GPU leak comes via Twitter/X user @kopite7kimi who claims the RTX 4080 Super will be powered by the AD103-400 GPU, as we saw in a previous RTX 4080 Super leak. This leak also ‘confirms’ that the full AD103 GPU will be used, resulting in 10,240 CUDA cores being available to the new graphics card.
As for the RTX 4070 Ti Super GPU, kopite7kimi claims this will be either the AD103-275 GPU (a cut-down variant of the RTX 4080’s AD103-300 GPU) or the AD102-175 GPU (a cut-down variant of the GPU used by the RTX 4080 Ti and higher graphics cards) and house 8,448 CUDA cores/FP32 units. The card will also apparently come with 48MB of L2 cache.
That CUDA core count would make for a 10% increase over the existing RTX 4070 Ti. That would tally with the similarly modest CUDA core count increase of the RTX 4080, which is projected to only be 5%.
Meanwhile, the RTX 4070 Super GPU is apparently set to be the AD104-350 or AD103-175 and house 7,168 CUDA cores, with 48MB of L2 cache. This would again mean the card could either use a slightly juiced-up variant of the existing RTX 4070 GPU or a cut-down variant of the RTX 4070 Ti’s GPU. Notably, though, this CUDA core count is lower than in previous leaks.
Interestingly, despite disseminating the information, kopite7kimi also sows doubt about the leak saying, “I still doubt with them, especially the Ti Super. I cannot fully agree.” Nonetheless, the information continues to build an ever clearer picture of the sort of upgrades we can expect from a new RTX 4000 Super lineup of graphics cards.
