A new Nvidia GeForce RTX 4080 Super price leak suggests the upcoming graphics card could be priced at just $999, which would be a $200 saving over the current RTX 4080 price of $1,199. This price reduction would be joined by similar benefits for the RTX 4070 Ti Super and RTX 4070 Super, which look as though they will be quicker than the non-Super versions of those cards, but with similar prices.
While the RTX 4080 Super saving is surprising in many ways, given Nvidia‘s historically aggressive stance on charging the highest price possible on its top-tier cards, in some ways it’s not quite such a shock, as the RTX 4080 has long been the worst value card on its roster. That’s why the RTX 4090 earns a spot on our best graphics card list but the RTX 4080 doesn’t, because right now it offers poor value, especially when compared to the AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX.
What’s more, reports suggest that sales are relatively poor for the GeForce RTX 4080 as well. That could all be about to change, though, with the release of the RTX 4080 Super, according to the latest leaked information.
If this new price is real, it could completely turn the tables on the graphics card market. With the card also expected to deliver a modest bump in performance of 6-9%, the 17% price drop would make for quite a turnaround when it comes to bang per buck. Meanwhile, the RTX 4070 Ti Super is rumored to demand the same or higher price than the RTX 4070 Ti, but with a much larger 14-22% boost in performance. Specifically, it’s rumored to cost $799-$849.

It’s a similar story for the RTX 4070 Super, with a rumored price of $599-$649 but performance that’s only “3-6% weaker” than that of the RTX 4070 Ti – the RTX 4070 Ti being roughly 20% faster than the RTX 4070.
All these new RTX 40 Super rumors come via regular YouTube leaker, Moore’s Law is Dead (video above), whose latest video also further nails down which GPUs the new cards will be using, how many CUDA cores they will offer, and how much VRAM will be fitted to the cards. The video also states that this trio of cards will be arriving in January 2024, with an announcement at CES 2024 – as previously rumored.
