This tiny graphics card is perfect for your next microATX PC build

MSI's latest GeForce RTX 4060 GPU is 40% smaller and 50% lighter than standard models, making it perfect for compact mini ITX and microATX builds.

Are you planning a compact microATX or mini-ITX rig for your next PC build? MSI might just have released the perfect GPU. The MSI GeForce RTX 4060 Aero ITX 8G, measuring just 167 x 111 x 43mm and weighing 455g, is one of the smallest current-gen graphics cards you’ll find anywhere.

When Nvidia launched the GeForce RTX 4060 earlier this year, one of its key selling points was its access to Nvidia DLSS 3. The card itself is entry-level and not especially powerful, so benefitting from team green’s proprietary upscaling tech often has huge effects on frame rate.

MSI‘s new tiny, new model supposedly matches the performance of other RTX 4060 cards at 60% of the usual size and half the standard weight. As you might expect, the design employs just one fan.

MSI has headed off any temperature concerns by pointing out this model’s custom fan design “with a unique curve to enhance heat dissipation by generating more airflow and air pressure.” It also boasts 6mm copper heat pipes to transfer heat from the baseplate.

MSI says the GeForce RTX 4060 Aero ITX 8G‘s diminutive frame will “fit into virtually any” PC case. This model could be a boon for those looking to create a mini-ITX PC build with a custom case.
