Cooler Master has revealed a successor to its popular MasterBox Q300L case. Anyone looking to build a PC in a compact, budget case will be pleased to learn the Cooler Master Q300L V2 micro-ATX case enjoys several improvements over its predecessor, including superior thermal performance across the board and better connection options.

The Taiwanese hardware manufacturer has also equipped the new-and-improved micro-ATX case with USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 Type C support, capable of data transfer speeds of up to 20GB/s, compatibility with a full-sized PSU, a modernized dust filter to optimize airflow, and suitably compact dimensions of 387 x 230 x 383mm with protrusions.

The case also boasts an open design with perforations in the top, bottom, and front of the chassis to allow air to escape. Other efforts to maintain good airflow and keep your components cool include the case’s support for multiple fans within, with two 140mm fans and a 240mm radiator able to fit in the front, the rear allowing for a 120mm fan or radiator, and room for two 120mm fans in the roof.

And despite its dinkiness, Cooler Master has managed to find space in the model for 28mm of space behind the motherboard for discrete cable management.

‘The Q300L V2 is a testament to Cooler Master’s ongoing commitment to innovation, efficiency and delivering superior thermal performance,’ stated Cooler Master CEO, Jimmy Sha. ‘We’ve pushed the boundaries of the mATX format to ensure our users never have to compromise between space, performance and aesthetics.’

Cooler Master Q300L V2 price

The Cooler Master Q300L V2 price is $59.99. That makes it $20 pricier than its predecessor at the moment, but that’s still pretty cheap as cases go, making it an attractive option for anyone looking to build a small rig on a budget.

Price: $59.99
