The latest Phanteks mid-tower PC case has tempered glass front and side panels, alongside space for eight 120mm fans, and a massive graphics card.

Phanteks NV5 PC case

Phanteks has released a great-looking aquarium-style PC case called the NV5, with near-seamless glass panels on its front and side that give you a full window into your PC’s innards. The Phanteks NV5 case was revealed at Computex earlier this year, but it’s now out in the wild and looks like it could be a contender for our best PC case guide.

For starters, Phanteks looks to have made sure you’ve got space for all your components. Although it’s a mid-tower, the NV5 boasts extra space within the chassis to support a graphics card up to 440mm long and 170mm wide, which fits a Founders Edition GeForce RTX 4090 with room to spare. There’s also space for a 280mm-wide E-ATX motherboard, 180mm-tall CPU cooler, and a 230mm PSU. The design also employs a removable PSU cover to simplify installation and access.

In terms of cooling, the NV5 has an ultra-fine mesh across the top of the chassis for airflow and dust filtration purposes. The design can also support up to eight 120mm fans, which can be positioned in various spots around the case, such as below the GPU to cool it directly. There’s also provision for two 360mm radiators and a 120mm radiator. Compatibility-wise, the NV5 features USB 3.2 Type-C Gen 2, USB 3, and microphone / headphone jack connections.

The NV5 looks the part as well. Available in either black or matte white, the chassis is made from 1.5mm high-quality steel, with the inside enjoying integrated RGB lighting with a software-free controller. The case hasn’t had a retail release in the US yet, but the black version of the case is on sale at Overclockers in the UK for £84.98, while the matte white version costs £94.98.

If you’re rocking loads of RGB lighting and some good-looking components, then you’ll want to show the world your pride and joy, and this case looks set to enable you to do that for a reasonable price too.
