Logitech has released a pair of new color options for its much-loved Logitech G502 Hero Lightspeed wireless gaming mouse, which bring some much-needed lightness to the normally dark and moody mouse design.
The new Logitech G502 Hero Lightspeed colorways are called peach pink and purple grape, with the former featuring a uniformly pink chassis apart from the blue Logitech logo and black scroll wheel. Meanwhile, the purple grape option has a combination of mostly white main panels, with metallic purple highlights and a darker purple used for the rubberized grip sections.
Pink peripherals, such as the infamous Razer Kraken Kitty Edition gaming headset, are a well-established spin on traditional gaming hardware designs but the purple mouse Logitech has opted for here is certainly a little different. In fact, we’d love to see even more options from these big brands – where are our Half Life orange, Pantone 369 green, or Fuschia peripherals!?
The new mice include the same core features as the standard mice, such as Logitech’s excellent 25K sensor, PowerPlay wireless charging, and LightSync. Though, as we found in our Logitech G502 Hero review, this is still too heavy a mouse for our liking.
The main downside to these new mice, though, is that they’re only as yet available in China – something that seems to be a theme when it comes to fun-colored gaming accessories. There, the mice cost ¥799 Yuan ($110 approx.) making them slightly more expensive than current US pricing for the standard black version of the mouse.
In theory, the mice should work anywhere in the world and can be imported without issue, but you’ll have to figure out how to have the shipping handled yourself, with orders currently only available via the Tmall website.
