Is this the king of gaming PC setups?

Probably not, in the grand scheme of things, but we like the spirit this lion-themed setup invokes, with its stunning wallpapers and outlandish Jonsbo case.

We’re used to seeing gaming spaces inspired by nature, with plants used to create calming, tranquil environments, but Custom PC and Gaming Setup Facebook group member, John Galli, has taken a different tack with his Lion-inspired gaming PC setup.

Getting up close and personal with the king of the jungle himself (geographical inaccuracies aside), via two fantastic shots of the maned beast used for desktop wallpapers, is certainly one way to get your shot of inspiration in the morning – or before your evening gaming session. We tend to just reach for a cup of coffee.

Rather amusingly, creating what we will generously call a contrast of styles (not a clash) John has partnered his nature-inspired desktop imagery with perhaps the most futuristic case you can buy. The Jonsbo Mod-3 Mini is a vision in cyber, robotic, Transformers design, with jagged metal and glass panels arranged in all sorts of bizarre angles.

Believe it or not, the case is actually only large enough to accommodate mini-ITX or micro-ATX motherboards – it’s all the angular paneling that makes it look so large. But, what it lacks in space efficiency it more than makes up for in sheer visual impact.

It’s also a fairly efficient case when it comes to cooling as it’s so full of openings in all the panels – dust is instead your bigger enemy with a case such as this one.

Inside, John has equipped this PC build with an AMD Ryzen 7 7700X attached to a Lian Li 240mm Galahad RGB AIO cooler and a Gigabyte B650M DS3H motherboard. These are accompanied by 32GB of G.Skill  DDR5-6000 FlareX RAM, a 500GB WD SN750 SSD and a 1TB WD Black SN770 SSD. along with an ASRock Phantom Gaming Radeon RX 7900 XT 20GB graphics card. That’s quite a powerful AMD-dedicated gaming build.

The power supply is an 840W Asus ROG Thor Platinum, while the monitors are a 32-inch AOC Agon 1440p 155Hz model and a 27-inch ViewSonic 1080p 60Hz panel. The keyboard is a Logitech G915 TKL Lightspeed and the mouse is a Logitech G502 Lightspeed.
