Alphacool has unveiled a new range of fans that have removable solid metal frames, making for a stylish and customizable cooling option for your PC. The new Alphacool Apex Stealth Metal fans will be available in two speed options, with Alphacool claiming they’ll be the ‘quietest on the market at any speed’.
That bold claim – that would likely see these fans claim a place on our best PC fan guide – is backed up somewhat by the impressive specs of these Alphacool fans, with the Apex Stealth Metal Fan specs including a 400-2000rpm speed rating, peak air flow of 76,81cfm, and just a 24.6gBA rating.
Apex Stealth Metal Fan specs:
- Speed: 400 – 2000rpm
- Power Consumption: 2.64 Watt
- Air Flow: 76.81 CFM
- Static Air Pressure: 3.88 mmH2O
- Noise Level: 24.6 dBA
Meanwhile the the Apex Stealth Metal Power Fan specs state their speed as 400-3000rpm, peak air flow as 116.89cfm, and noise level at 40.2dBA.
Apex Stealth Metal Power Fan specs:
- Speed: 400 – 3000rpm
- Power Consumption: 6.60 Watt
- Air Flow: 116.89 CFM
- Static Air Pressure: 6.22 mm H₂O
- Noise Level: 40.2 dBA
Both fans are limited to a standard 120mm size (120 x 120 x 25mm), with no 140mm or slim option currently announced. They also both use a 6-pole motor with a hydro dynamic bearing, though there’s no mention if they use monster magnets.
The metal frames are made from zinc and are completely detached from the rest of the fan, with the plates screwed onto the fans when fitted to the case. In between the plates and the rest of the fan there is then a vibration-reducing rim, helping these fans retain their impressive low noise ratings.
The 6-pole motor in combination with the HDB (Hydro Dynamic Bearing) ensures exceptionally quiet running and high durability. Say goodbye to the irritating hum of traditional fans and embrace a computing experience where silence is golden.
The Alphacool Apex Stealth metal fan price is surprisingly reasonable at €30 a piece, with pre-orders currently open on Alphacool’s website. Color options are matte black, chrome, white, and gold, in both the 2000rpm and 3000rpm variants.
