Super Flower has announced a new fully modular range of PSUs, the Leadex III, which will be available in 550W, 650W, 750W and 850W variants. Super Flower proudly boasts that they use Japanese capacitors, and that they also have an 80 Plus Gold rating.

The Leadex III design also includes semi-passive cooling modes when running on reduced load in order to cut down noise. The active cooling comes in the form of a 135mm fan. The passive cooling modes are selected with a switch on the back of the unit, thankfully on the opposite side of the on/off switch.

You can set the fan to kick in at 62°C to bring temperatures back down to 53°C, or at 48°C to bring it down to 33°C, or you can have it running all the time.

The Leadex III range is available to pre-order from Overclockers, with prices ranging from £79.99 inc VAT for the 550W variant up to £112.99 inc VAT for the 850W unit.
