If you’ve been holding off upgrading your SSD, and holding out for a bargain, then we highly recommend taking advantage of this generous Samsung SSD offer. This limited-time Amazon SSD deal enables you to grab yourself a 1TB Samsung 980 Pro for just $59.99 – a saving of over $20 on the usual price of this SSD.

Not only that, but Amazon also has a deal on the 2TB Samsung 980 Pro with a heatsink fitted, meaning you can now pick one up for $124.17, a saving of 12 percent on the usual current Amazon price.

Unlike the standard PCIe 3 Samsung 980, the Samsung 980 Pro makes full use of the fast PCIe 4 interface. In our full Samsung 980 Pro review we measured the sequential read speed at 6,662MB/s, with the write speed sitting at 4,926MB/s. These aren’t as quick as Samsung’s 7,000MB/s and 5,000MB/s claims, but that’s still a very fast SSD for just $59.99, especially when you consider that this 1TB SSD cost $183 when we first reviewed it.

If your motherboard doesn’t already have M.2 SSD heatsinks, then the 2TB model is also a good deal for $124.17, costing even less than the heatsink-less model at usual pricing. The heatsink looks minimal and classy in its dark grey metal, with just a spot of orange color in the middle.

If you’re still using a hard drive or an old SATA SSD, upgrading to a new PCIe 4 SSD will have a big impact on your day-to-day life if you use a lot of storage, and move large files around. You’ll get loads of storage space for games without having to uninstall them, and file transfers will also be much quicker. Make sure you check out our guide on how to install an M.2 SSD before you fit it as well.
