Our Verdict
82%Double sided RGB lighting and decent airflow, but this set of 140mm fans could be cheaper.
The NZXT F140 RGB Duo is a pack of two 140mm RGB fans, and both sides of each fan are illuminated with vibrant digital RGB rings. The lighting is tweaked with an included controller via NZXT’s CAM software, but the fan speed is controlled through a 4-pin PWM cable.
At 1,900rpm, the NZXT F140 RGB Duo airflow is 1.86m/s, beating the Thermaltake SWAFAN 14 ARGB’s 1.61m/s. At this speed, the NZXT F140 RGB Duo noise level is 57dBA, which is also quieter than the Thermaltake SWAFAN 14 ARGB’s 60dBA.
Dropping to 1,000rpm, the NZXT fans managed 0.8m/s airflow at 45dBA, which was louder than the be quiet! Silent Wings 4 140mm fan’s 40dBA, but it also shifted more than the latter’s 0.55m/s airflow as well as bettering the Thermaltake SWAFAN 14 ARGB.
