Lian Li launches the O11 Dynamic XL case in Europe

While most gaming PC cases settle for just one tempered glass side panel, the Lian Li O11 Dynamic chassis packs another one on its front.

PC gaming case with glass panels

The newest case from Lian Li, the O11 Dynamic XL has appeared for pre-order, slotting in neatly at the high end midi-tower case bracket. The O11 Dynamic XL is a visually striking case, Lian Li having opted to go with a tempered glass side panel but also a tempered glass pane in the front. The case being transparent from two sides rather than the usual one lends it something of an aquarium-like appearance.

A design built around two big transparent panels sets the O11 Dynamic XL up as an ideal case for a grandiose PC build, with the viewing angles afforded by the two glass panels combining with the relatively low key case itself to really show off whatever luminous disco mayhem you choose to install inside. This is something of a two edged sword of course, there’s nowhere to hide if your PC build looks like an Atari 2600 fell into a blender.

Behind the style the O11 Dynamic XL brings serious cooling chops. There is no front facing air intake as you’d normally expect because of the glass window, instead the furthest forward intakes are a vertical stack of mounts up the side. This mounting has space for 3x 120mm fans or a 360mm radiator (although this forfeits some of the optional SSD installation space. There are mountings in the top and bottom for either 3x 120mm or 2x 140mm fans, each with the option of a 360mm radiator as well. In the rear there is mount for a final 120mm fan.

The O11 Dynamic XL features an optional hard disk cage that is independently accessible at the back without taking off the side panels. The O11 can take a maximum of 6x 2.5in drives along with the cage offering an additional 4x 3.5in/2.5in spaces. It can also potentially mount two PSUs, although this capability is probably best expressed as having the option of two different places to install the PSU.

The Lian Li O11 Dynamic XL should be arriving from pre-orders on the 8th of October and it currently retails for £199.99.
