G.Skill has announced a new extremely low latency 32GB memory kit. The new kit at this speed is available in the Trident Z and the RGB illuminated Trident Z Royal configurations. The listed speed is DDR4-4000 CL15-16-16-36.
The new memory is designed to complement the new AMD X570 chipset motherboards and to handle a degree of overclocking. It is notable that while Corsair recently launched their first RAM kits at 5000MHz the world record for overclocking RAM is still held on G.Skill components. How memory behaves when it’s being hammered for competitive overclocking and doused in liquid nitrogen doesn’t necessarily reflect on how well it will hold up in any given home computer, but it’s not a bad feather to have in your cap when you’re making high end components.
The new Trident Z and Trident Z Royal kits are expected to be available in Q4 of this year, although no price has been given yet.
