Corsair has launched their new iCUE QL RGB fans, taking the already almost over-the-top level of illumination offered by existing RGB fans and whacking a stack more LEDs on top. The new iCUE QL fans feature 34 individually addressable LEDs in four light loops, so that regardless of the viewing angle the lighting pattern is bright. This seems like a lot of LEDs, but if you’re going to commit to a bit, you might as well go all the way.
The iCUE QL fans are available in 120mm and 140mm, either individually or in packs of three fans. These packs come supplied with the Corsair iCUE Lighting Node CORE RGB Lighting Controller, which is a very comprehensive name. The Lighting Controller, as you might imagine, is the hub into which you plug all the fans in order to coordinate the lighting pattern via the iCUE software. The controller is able to handle six fans at once, a total of 204 LEDs.
There is no pricing information available as yet, but the iCUE QL fans should be available soon.
