AMD Radeon RX 5600 XT benchmarks sighted

Freshly uncovered AMD Radeon RX 5600 XT benchmarks have been discovered, giving us some idea of how team red's GPU sits among its competition and peers.

Videocardz.com suggests that an entry in the 3dMark benchmark database which has apparently been unearthed on Reddit indicates the performance and parts of the specification of the upcoming AMD Radeon RX 5600 XT graphics card. So, in theory we have a good idea of what the new graphics card is going to have under the hood (or under the blower if previous AMD graphics cards of this generation are any indicator) and what it is going to be capable of.

The notable feature of the specification in this leak is that the card has 6GB of RAM, which feels like a somewhat strange amount. This may or may not be set in stone for all models, after all some of the 5500 cards have 4GB, others 8GB, so it feels like 6GB for the RX 5600 XT might not be the only version. According to the data the clock speed on the GPU is around the 1600MHz mark. The performance data makes it about a third faster than an 8GB RX 5500 XT.

While we always take rumours with a pinch of salt it does feel relatively uncontroversial for the card that slots into the price point between the RX 5700 XT and the RX 5500 XT to have a specification and performance level that also fit in that spot. No alarms and no surprises.

With CES not far away it seems logical that any new graphics card about to drop will be announced there.
